Review of ZeroWater Replacement Filter

ZeroWater Replacement Filter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Having lugged 5-gallon water bottles for many years, the ZeroWater system has been a Godsend. We use the larger ZeroWater2-part container on top of the same watercooler that used the large 5-gallon bottles. That water tastes great and is crystal-clear. My only complaint is the cost of the filters. Brookstone sold the 4-pak for $29.99 last year, but it's up to $52.99 now which is only a bit cheaper than Home Depot's $60.00 price. If it weren't for that high cost, I would have rated the water filtration system 5 stars.

Review of ZeroWater ZD-003 Decanter, Glass Carafe Dispenser

ZeroWater ZD-003 Decanter, Glass Carafe Dispenser
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My daughter recommended this water system;we tried it her home in Chicago and got one for ourselves.
At first no matter what I did it never was reading "0"...I was still using it with a reading of 7 or 9 ;instead of 39 from the water directly from the tap.
Then my husband checked the system as I was pouring water in the top and realised that the little nipple between the 2 filter heads was leacking into the reservoir chamber. We took it apart and looked at it closely to discover that the plastic bump was cut of and the untreated water was going through a pin size hole where the plastic was broken.I placed a little crazy glue in the hole ; waited 2 days and put the system back together...it has been reading zero from that day on!!! It is a good system but they may not test the pieces before they are sent out.Same when I ordered replacement filters...one had a missing rubber gasket;so I used one from the old filter...with the price of the system it should not happen this often to one costumer...but we still love it;the water has no taste and that is wonderful!

Review of Crystal Quest Premium Turbo Ultrafiltration Floor Water Cooler

Crystal Quest Premium Turbo Ultrafiltration Floor Water Cooler
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The first UF Turbo we purchased died of a broken compressor unit about one month after installation. Before it died, it flooded our basement because a filter housing was cracked. We had to pay to get this unit shipped back to the manufacturer in order to obtain a replacement unit. When the replacement finally arrived (the whole process took forever), a filter was bust, most of the filter holders were broken and the unit was leaking from the water reservoir. Upon closer inspection, the reservoir compartment showed signs of rust and corrosion - it had obviously been leaking for some time (so much for getting a new unit as a replacement!) The company would not take responsibility for this mess and refused to issue a refund and get the cooler shipped back. Never have I experienced customer "service" this ungracious and horrible. In addition, the units are poorly constructed, the housings/brakes break easily, the reservoir lid does not have a backup floatation device to stop it from overflowing (very dangerous!), the compressor is obviously prone to breaking and they are using too many filters. Please think three times before purchasing a product from this company.

Review of EcoloBlue 28 Atmospheric Water Generator

EcoloBlue 28 Atmospheric Water Generator
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recommend purchasing these machines straight from the manufacturer, he'll give you all the info you need and it is less expensive.Just google "precipitation water generators".The man is brilliant and is inventing simply amazing things, such as these water generators.

I searched for years to figure out how to filter out all the chemicals, metals, bacteria, prescription medications, ect. that is contaminating the municipal drinking water. This is it.The filtration process in this unit alone is probably enough to filter out most everything from the city drinking water, but even better; since the water you'll be drinking comes from the humidity, none of that junk is there to begin with.

The higher the humidity level in your area, the quicker and more efficiently it will make water.

It took a while to get the new appliance smell out of the drinking water but after that, the water coming from it was, without a doubt, the cleanest tasting drinking water I've ever tasted. My friend told me it was like drinking snow and I know it's even better than that.

However, I speak of the unit in past tense because currently I am not using it.Unfortunately, I let mine sit for quite some time and mold grew in the collection tank. The unit cycles the water to keep it purified, but when there is enough mold growing it just can't be filtered well enough and it mold gets in your glass.
For this reason, I had originally planned to rate this appliance with four stars. But to downplay such an amazing piece of equipment because of my own neglect is arrogantly ignorant. So my suggestion: Use it and follow the recommended cleaning instructions.

If I could make one improvement to this machine it would be to have an option to keep the unit on but be able to turn off the water production.

-Luke

Review of Brita 35530 Ultramax Dispenser

Brita 35530 Ultramax Dispenser
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I had been using the smarller Britta pitcher(holds 5 glasses). That works wonderfully by the way, just too small for larger families or seriouswater drinkers. The only complaint with that was the size caused me to have to fill it constanly as I drink a lot of water. So I decided to upgrade. First I purchased the faucet mount filter and was disappointed. The thing moves slower than molassas!I returned that and was going to get a standard pitcher filter setup but decided to go with this one because it was onlyfour dollars more than a pitcher that held ten glasses of water. This provides 18 glasses of the best tasting water ever.I live in an area where our water is reputed to be among the best in the country(at least that what the local officials say) and this only improves on it!!Now I fill this up,put it on a shelf in the fridge and voila,I have great tasting ice cold water at my fingertips.I think this is much more cost effective than buying bottled water. The best part of it all?My kids have now become water drinkers!!It might be because of the easy to use tap, which by the way makes this much more convienant to use as opposed to the pitcher.Although they swear that they drink more water now because it "just tastes better".
I am, so far, very pleased with this sytem.I think it is a wise investment.
Great tasting water without the chlorine smell or taste at a great price! It doesn't get much better than that as far as I can see!!!!!!!

Think of it as water filtration for dummies. You don't even need to keep an eye on the calendar, the electronic sensor lets you know with a flashing arrow when it's time to change filters. Not to mention this system sure beats the heck out of paying for and lugging home gallon after gallon of water.

Review of ZeroWater ZD-013 Filtration Pitcher with Electronic Tester, Filter Included

ZeroWater ZD-013 Filtration Pitcher with Electronic Tester, Filter Included
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Most of us have had water filtration systems; either the under sink, mounts to faucet, or most commmonly, the filter-in-pitcher system.I saw this on a late night infomercial and was hooked. I will keep this review short and sweet:

Pluses: Nice attractive color, Spigot and valve ON the pitcher so no need to remove the pitcher from the fridge everytime you want some water, Zero-water meter is included (and can be stored IN the pitcher)

Minuses: Capacity could be greater.Filter is so massive that you go through the filtered water QUICKLY, especially if you have a larger family;
AND...the #1 drawback:This pitcher filters VERY SLOWLY.I am used to other Brita-type units and this is the slowest I've ever seen.Often when the pitcher is over half-full, and I fill the top reservoir, it doesn't drain completely after 3-4 HOURS.I have to keep a 1/2 gallon bottle in the refrigerator filled with cold filtered water since this filters so slowly.

So, great concept, water is fantastic, but pitcher filters way too slowly if you have a family larger than 2-3.

Product Description:
With the ZeroWater Pitcher you can get cleaner, fresher water without tapping into your plumbing line, using bulky water coolers, and wasting your money on expensive bottled water. Thanks to an innovative five-stage filtration process, the ZeroWater Pitcher offers more complete water filtration than ordinary carbon filters. And for convenience, this pitcher neatly stores right in your refrigerator door.

This innovative, eco-friendly pitcher improves the taste and healthfulness of your tap water.

A five-stage filtration process works to thoroughly remove dissolved solids from water.

The included TDS meter ensures that you're getting the best-tasting water possible.

More Effective, Affordable, and Environmentally Friendly Than Other Filters
Even if you live in a municipality that cleans or treats water, water can pick up chemicals on its way from the treatment plant to your faucet, giving your tap water a metallic or chlorinated taste. Water that's purified with a ZeroWater Pitcher, however, tastes the way water should: crisp, clean, and fresh.
Tested and certified by the Water Quality Association and NSF International for removal of several minerals, ZeroWater is the only filtration system that fits the FDA definition of purified bottled water. And at a fraction of the cost of ordinary carbon filters.
The ZeroWater pitcher not only improves the taste of your tap water, it also helps to improve the environment. When you use the ZeroWater Pitcher, you'll reduce your use of plastic water bottles that clog up landfills and harm ecosystems. You'll also contribute to water conservation, because unlike reverse-osmosis systems, ZeroWater is gravity operated and doesn't waste electricity or water.
Five-Stage Filtration System for Water That Scores a Perfect "000"
At the heart of every drop of water that's purified by a ZeroWater Pitcher is an independent, laboratory-calibrated water tester called a TDS meter. TDS stands for "Total Dissolved Solids" and represents the amount of dissolved substances that can negatively affect the way water tastes.
Unlike conventional gravity-fed or carbon water filters that remove only certain substances from your water, ZeroWater's patented Ion Exchange System with Five-Stage Technology provides the only filtered water to measure an absolute "000" on the TDS scale, which means that 100% of dissolved solids have been completely removed.
To help put this in perspective, meter readings for tap water average between 075 and 300. Conventionally filtered water measures between 030 and 500, and bottled water measures between 000 and 350. Unlike the alternatives, with ZeroWater you can be sure you'll get 100% great-tasting water.
Battery-Powered Meter Makes it Easy to Test Your Water
The beauty of the ZeroWater Pitcher is that you don't have to accept purity claims at face value. Test your water yourself with the included meter and watch as the zeros come together to ensure that you're getting the best-tasting water possible.Powered by two easy-to-replace 1.5-volt button cell batteries (included), this meter also lets you know the status of your filter. For instance, if your meter reads "006," it's time to replace the filter.
Sleek, Contemporary Design for Ease of Use
This single-chamber pitcher features a sleek, patent-pending design that allows for easy storage in your refrigerator door. For added convenience, a handy dispenser at the bottom of the pitcher's handle allows you to access water without removing the pitcher from the fridge.
What's in the Box
Pitcher, one filter, and one TDS meter.

Use the TDS meter to determine how many gallons of ZeroWater--water that measures an absolute "000" on the TDS scale--you will get per filter. View larger.
