Review of Vitapur Hot and Cold Countertop Water Dispenser - VWD2636BLK-1

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I brought this Hot Water Dispenser from Target online. It seems prefect. But the Hot Water coming is smell like plastic burn. I'm scared to use the water, because I'm pregnant. I tried to call the company and no one picking the Phone. Very sorry to buy this product. I saw several Hot Water Dispensers. But not even one taste like this. I followed instruction and washed with vinegar. Kept Vinegar one day inside this. Still no use. Don't know what to do with this.

Review of Easy Load Reusable No Splash Cap (Screw On)

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was so happy to see this product. I just paid $180 for an in home Whirlpool water cooler. The cooler has a very small opening for water bottles and its always a huge mess to change them. This was just the ticket. Unfortunately after receiving this I tried to put it on an Arrowhead 5 gallon bottle...did not fit. Arrowhead 3 gallon bottle...did not fit. Sparklets 5 gallon bottle...did not fit. I'd like to know what bottles this is made for. For these reasons I give this 1 star. I'd give it zero if I could. Great idea but if it does not fit it's worthless!

Review of Electronic Water Dispenser Blk

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I ordered an Avanti WDE98PS water cooler through Amazon. It was shipped by a third party as Amazon often does. The cooler arrived broken. The cold side did not work at all.Now I'm not rating this a 1 star (would love to give it zero) because it was broken. That can happen with any product. What matters is how the company you buy from deals with you when there is a problem.

I called Avanti to request warranty service and was told outright that Amazon is not an authorized vendor of Avanti and the warranty is void. That's it, end of story, I'm stuck with a $170 broken water cooler.

My advice to you if you need a water cooler is to go with a different company. As I don't own another brand (yet) I can't offer any advice as to what model might be better, but stay away from this company. They don't stand behind their products and WILL leave you hanging if you buy from them.

Review of InSinkErator SST-FLTR 2/3-Gallon Stainless Tank and Filtration System

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)On InSinkErator's (ISE) recommendation, we bought this tank and filter to replace our 5 year old unit that still heated, but whose output was undrinkable - a funny taste due to corrosion of the tank (?). While the replacement tank and filter work fine, it was quite a job to install for this amateur plumber, due to ISE not providing good information or the right fittings. Our old unit used 1/4" copper from the faucet to the supply and to the tank. The new unit uses 3/8" polyethylene tubing. ISE should have known this, since we provided the serial number of the old unit when we called and had this unit recommended, hence only 3 stars. Gory details follow for anyone in the same situation.

The new tank is wider than the old one. So, I had to move the mounting bracket so the new tank did not interfere with the supply valve. When I called to explain the tubing mismatch, ISE sent an adapter for the line from the faucet to the tank (1/4" compression to quick-disconnect). However, the 3/8" to 1/4" Y adapter from the filter leaked when I tried it with 1/4" copper tubing. I ended up getting 2 1/4" to 3/8" compression adapters from Home Depot, which did fine with the copper 1/4" tubing and the plastic 3/8" tubing. Two are needed since the filter goes in between the supply and the faucet. Do-it-yourselfers will also need a compact tubing cutter and some extra 1/4" compression nuts and ferrules.

Review of Primo Water Bottom Loading Water Cooler

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This machine is supposed to work with all standard bottles. The marketing info claims "Accepts all 3- and 5-Gallon bottles." However, despite following the directions and talking with customer service, this unit fails to achieve a tight seal with the pump (which pulls the water up from inside the bottle.) Every time it loses the seal, it stops pumping and beeps incessantly until I open the door, push down on the top of the pump, and shut the door. Every time I draw a glass of water, I have to repeat this process as many as 10 times until the next glassful is pumped!

I have not been this aggravated with a product in a long, long time. And since I've discarded the box, I'm going to have to switch water delivery companies, which is infuriating.
