Unfortunately, there is a strong chemical odor inside the pot. It appears to stem from the inside coating of the pot.
In this country about 70,000 different chemicals are being used. The side effects and toxicity of these chemicals are generally never studied. In my opinion,the strong chemical odor inside this pot is a very bad sign.I threw the pot in the trash because I do not want to be exposed to potentially toxic chemicals that could enter into my drinking water from this pot.
My previous ceramic water dispenser that I bought from Culligan Waters had NO chemical odor on the inside!
