Review of Igloo 8242 Black Plastic Cup Dispenser

(More customer reviews)I am a mowing and mulching contractor in the Baltimore, MD Area.I purchased this item for use with my Igloo 5 gallon plastic water cooler that lives inside of my closed landscape trailer.I wanted to provide easy access to a supply of paper cups to make hydrating on a hot day easier and neater.

The product does do what it claims - it keeps a whole sleeve of paper cone cups right beside the cooler for ready use.What it does not do, is keep ALL of the cups in place and ready for use in a moving landscape trailer.The movement and motion of the trailer while underway results in finding 2, 3, or more cups on the floor when I arrive at my next stop!Great for the paper cup business, but wasteful for me.

I can only assume that this product was not designed for the purpose for which I have chosen.I am working on modifications (fewer cups in the dispenser, adjustments to the cup release tensioner) but have yet to find the answer.

Long story short - great product (works great on the same jug at my favorite golf course) just not designed to be on the job while the jug is in motion!I will figure this out, just don't plan to use it for this purpose (and there are many guys out there with this jug in their trailers and on their trucks) right out of the box!Maybe now I know why this dispenser is NOT on most of these jugs that I see in my industry.
